Sea Tyrants are the most common and widespread of theGargoran marine predators. They are the apex predators of many ecosystems. All have bioluminescent lights on their sidesfor communication and hunting, except one species.

Tyrannus paelagius: largest and most successful of the Sea Tyrants. Sentient being that lives in tightly knit family units.

Tyrannus princeps: second largest tyrant. Also a sentient, just around human intelligence that is solitary.
Common name: Prince's Sea Tyrant
Name meaning: Prince Tyrant

Tyrannus calidus: slightly smaller than Prince's Sea Tyrant, this giant lives by sea caldrons and volcanic vents.
Common name: Volcanic Tyrant
Name meaning: Warm Tyrant

Tyrannus minor: second smallest tyrant, this is also the fastest. It hunts in the shallows of estuaries and shorelines.
Common name: Short-faced Tyrant
Name meaning: Minor Tyrant

Tyrannus ulna: smallest and most elusive tyrant, it has no eyes. It lives in deep sea trenches and ocean trenches. Unlike the rest of the genus, its bioluminescent lights are on the head and upper flippers. This is so prey is lured to the mouth or the flippers, where it can be whipped. Only non-sentient.
