Plunderer Kills a Hoo

At 6 feet tall, this robustly built predator (a Saquedor) dwarfs its gangly ancestors. Surviving the Anthropocene/Kryocene Extinction event by hiding out in burrows of other animals and caverns, they now live in a giant "terror bird" heaven. With the world's ungulates being replaced by rodents and lagomorphs (only a few groups remain), a huge burst of prey diversity had arrived. South America now has a varietygiant goat/cow like rodents, camelid like lagomorphs, giant ground birds and so much more. Besides them, some predators like descendants of Burrowing owls have evolved. They hunt smaller prey than the Saquedor. It's path has come across this macropredator and the results are plain and clear.
